Sneak Peek - My next quilled heart greeting card

I have been idle and resting for past few days now. And thus passing time by quilling some flowers and cutting my card stocks. Not much hard work is done. Yeah I have been thinking some technique for the bookmark swap I am participating in. However, got bored of thinking and thus thought I would do some quilling. Wanted to beehive something for a long time. And a heart is something I wanted to quill. Actually wanted to see how the heart turns out with beehiving technique.

'I ♥ U' - a Special Love card - SW0017

This is valentine card that I made for my friend. Actually me and my friend Shabarish Gupta, both contributed to the card. He made it for her friend who presented it to her boyfriend.

Initially we just cut out the heart from the card stock and cut out a bigger heart from the handmade paper I have to glue it to the inside of the card. Then we glued a strip to the outline of the card. We made quilled open heart from different colored strips we have and glued it to the  handmade paper surface. 

Simple Quilled Valentine Card - SW0012

I had a very old printed greeting card with a beautiful pic of tulips. I had it cut and placed in the below card stock. I also used a ribbon and 2 quilled heart to make it a valentine card. I have added 2 punched out flowers. 

This is card is very very simple and there is very less quilling, so I have decided to renovate in with some more quilling; but not now. I would do it in some of spare time.

For now, I am uploading the pic of it as it looks now.

New Year Card - SW0006

This again was another experiment of mine for vintage look. I love the flower in this card. This is a small card and people who saw this card personally have loved the card but asked me to make this card a bit bigger. They too loved the flower in it. I call this flower as 'the Heart flower'.

Happy New Year Card - Heart cut out - SW0005

This again is a fringed flower card. But this time my experiment was to bring a vintage look to my card. I succeeded a bit by bringing that look in the new year wish background. I was able to cut out the heart nicely and put the quilling strip border to it. I love the pink color fringed flowers with the purple center of it. The leaves are punched out. I used a crimped strips for the threads coming out from the top of the heart. Do you like the tiny heart cut out from the pink pattern paper I have? I love the tiny cut out.
